StatSheet now projects Minnesota to go to the NIT as a four seed. The Golden Gophers are #97 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 19-14 overall record and a 6-12 record in the Big Ten.
During the last four games, Minnesota picked up wins against Northwestern and Nebraska but also took a step backwards with losses to AP #10 Michigan and AP #14 Wisconsin.
Minnesota is not that good against top competition, with a 6-12 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 1-9 record against the RPI Top 50 and a 1-8 record against AP ranked teams. While the Golden Gophers have two quality wins including AP #15 Indiana and RPI #49 South Dakota State, they're also hampered by two bad losses including RPI #131 Iowa (2 losses).
